History

IPFA was established in 1998 to create a membership forum dedicated to promoting and representing the interests of companies involved in Project Finance and Public Private Partnerships throughout the world.

IPFA encourages networking and dialogue between the public and private sectors and is at the heart of best practice, transferring knowledge across country boundaries and between sectors, educating and training the industry and encouraging innovation.

Established as a not-for-profit association headquartered in London, IPFA now has branches across the world-UK, Ireland, Netherlands, Germany, France, Italy, Middle East, South Africa, Nigeria, Asia Pacific, Australia, North America and Canada and further developments are  planned for Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean.

IPFA also performs research through its numerous working committees and steering groups to foster best practice in the industry, drawing from its large global members and honorary members in government and multilateral agencies across the globe.
