The World Economic Forum, the IEA, Imperial College London, and ETH Zurich, are teaming up to build a Cost of Capital (CoC) Observatory. The CoC Observatory aims to be a first-of-kind database providing cost of capital data for clean energy projects in emerging and developing economies. By increasing transparency in emerging and developing markets and allowing for a more informed and targeted conversation on the risk factors involved, the CoC Observatory aims to assist project developers, financial institutions, and policymakers in their decision-making, increase investor confidence, and accelerate reliable and secure energy transitions.
The initiative is beginning with a short survey to gain first-hand insight and expertise from leading practitioners on the cost of capital in clean energy projects in select emerging markets.
How can you help?
The World Economic Forum and its partners would be grateful for your contribution and input to the survey. Please reach out to [email protected] if you are available to participate in the survey, or if you would like to learn more about the Cost of Capital Observatory Initiative.
