New Canada Council Member from Plenary

We are pleased to welcome on board Catherine Jones, Vice President, Plenary, as a Canada Council Member:

We asked Catherine a few questions to get to know her a bit better:

  • If you could personally change or influence one thing within infrastructure and/or energy, what would it be?

If I could personally change or influence one thing within infrastructure and energy, it would be to enhance collaboration between public and private sectors. By fostering stronger partnerships and leveraging the unique strengths and capabilities of stakeholders we can drive more efficient and effective project development, encouraging innovative solutions, better project outcomes, and ultimately, a more robust infrastructure system that meets the evolving needs of society.

  • Knowing what you know now, what advice would you give to yourself at the start of your career?

Don’t be afraid to embrace challenges and step outside your comfort zone. Growth comes from pushing boundaries, taking on new responsibilities, sharing your ideas boldly and engaging actively with your peers.

  • What do you hope to bring to this Council?

In joining the Canadian Council, I hope to bring a blend of experience, innovation, and collaborative spirit that focuses on inclusive dialogue and strategic partnerships. Drawing from my background in business development and stakeholder engagement, I aim to promote an environment where diverse voices are heard and valued, and that can propel Canada’s infrastructure agenda forward.
