Financing Ireland’s Net Zero Ambition

Find out what was discussed – download the event summary from our Dublin event held on Tuesday 13 June 2023. (Scroll down for link)

What was the event about?

Ireland has set ambitious goals in its Climate Action plan to achieve a 51% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions by 2030 and a path to net zero by no later than 2050. As part of this plan there are sectorial targets in place for Electricity, Buildings, Transport, Industry and Agriculture. We explore the role private finance and project finance in particular will play in achieving these targets as well as the role of government and regulatory bodies in facilitating our transition to net zero.

With thanks to our speakers and panellists:

– Moderator: Aisling Donnelly, PwC Ireland

– Karen Doyle, Gas Networks Ireland

– Cathal Masterson, TII

– Gemma McRann, Macquarie

– Vincent Harrison, Dublin Airport

We’d also like to thank PwC UK for hosting the event.
