About IPFA Learning courses

Who are the courses for?

IPFA Learning courses are catered to infrastructure and energy professionals at different stages of their careers, from beginners who are new to the industry or at the early stages of their career, to experienced practitioners who are looking to further advance their knowledge and develop a deeper understanding of the emerging trends and market developments.

Do I need any prior knowledge before taking a course?

Some of our courses require no prior experience, while others are best suited for those with some industry knowledge or experience. Please take a look at the individual course pages or brochures for more details.

What is the format of the training?

All of our courses are delivered live by an experienced practitioner, either in person or online. Group sizes are kept small to encourage meaningful interaction with both the instructor and fellow participants.
With the exception of the Masterclass, which is modular based, our public courses run over 1-3 days and include interactive discussions, real-world case studies, and practical exercises to help you apply what you’ve learned.

Do you offer virtual or on-demand options?

We offer a variety of live virtual classes that delegates can join across different time zones. Current virtual courses include:
– Asset Management for Project Finance
– Masterclass in Infrastructure Investment & Finance
– Implementing Sustainability
– Project Finance Fundamentals (new for 2026)
– Project Finance Advanced (coming in 2027)
At this time, we do not offer any courses as on-demand options.

Are the courses CPD verified?

Yes. Once you finish the training, you can request a certificate showing your CPD points, which you can record with your professional body if required.

What is the difference between the ‘Project Finance Fundamentals’ and ‘Project Finance Advanced’ courses?

Both courses are designed to equip participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to make meaningful contributions to infrastructure and energy projects within your organisation.
– The Fundamentals course provides a basic understanding of project finance, covering key concepts, risk allocation, and market structures. It’s designed for those new to project finance or with limited experience.
– The Advanced course is a deeper dive into complex issues and challenges in today’s market, including risk allocation, financial structuring, financial modelling, asset management, and sustainability considerations. It is intended for those seeking to deepen their understanding of the current and emerging issues in project finance.

Registering for a Course
