Luke Hanson is the Sector Lead for Telecoms Structured Finance in EMEA at SMBC Group, based in London. Since joining the bank in 2014 from KPMG’s Infrastructure Corporate Finance group, Luke has been involved in lending and advisory mandates across digital infrastructure, transport, and social infrastructure sectors. Most recently he has been instrumental in shaping SMBC’s digital infrastructure strategy across the region and has led SMBC Group’s involvement in high-profile Data Centre, Tower, and Fibre transactions across EMEA. He holds a Master of Engineering degree from Oxford University and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales.
