Michael has over 20 years’ experience in greenfield infrastructure investment and financing. Michael joined Equitix in February 2025 and focuses on greenfield social infrastructure and energy transition assets across the UK and Europe, notably supporting the HARP £3bn water project to financial close in summer 2025. Michael recently worked on corporate M&A transactions in the energy space and acted as Project Director for the development of a 450MW transmission connected BESS asset in England. Michael dealt with the full spectrum of development activities across grid, land, planning and property rights. Michael spent 15 years at John Laing investing and funding numerous PFI/PPP projects across transport, health and education notably including Intercity Express, Alder Hey Children’s Hospital and Barnsley BSF followed by UK/European Energy Transition assets including onshore/offshore wind, solar and digital infrastructure. Michael spent 6 years in Grant Thornton’s London Project Finance team advising central and local government on social infrastructure procurement in health, education and emergency service sectors. Michael qualified as a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) in 2001.
