This session provided an inside look at how the CIB’s investment priorities are helping to shape the future of infrastructure in Alberta and across Western Canada.

The discussion began with a fireside chat with John Casola, Chief Investment Officer, who covered recent milestones and the outlook for projects in the region.

A panel conversation with members of the CIB’s Calgary Investments team where they explored opportunities in next-generation energy infrastructure, including carbon capture, sequestration, and hydrogen.

The session concluded with insights on the role of project finance in strengthening Canada’s energy economy and enhancing long-term competitiveness. We also heard from the Vice President at the Calgary Chamber of Commerce.
