The Future of Corporate PPAs in Asia Pacific
Find out what was discussed – download the post-event summary from our Future Leaders Network event held on Thursday 22 August 2024 in Singapore (Scroll down for link)
What was the event about?
2023 was a record year for renewable energy corporate PPAs in Asia Pacific, with the market growing by 35% since 2022. There is strong momentum in the market and the common perception is that corporate PPA activity will grow exponentially. Is it true that it has never been easier for corporations to procure clean energy? What are the significant legal, regulatory, technical and operational challenges in APAC which threaten to stall this growth? Given that expectations of the developers, financiers, and offtakers may not always be the same, is there a need for a market standard corporate PPA?
Our Future Leaders explored the evolving role of corporate PPAs across the APAC region and how developers, financiers and corporate offtakers assess the risks and rewards associated with corporate PPAs.
