Using Collaborative Contracting for Better Outcomes on Privately Financed Projects

What was the event about?
Collaborative contracting is being re-embraced by the infrastructure construction markets to improve value for project owners and reduce risk for the supply chain. But can it be used on privately financed projects? Will privately financed projects continue to require all construction works to be wrapped under a fixed price/fixed time construction contract with very few relief and compensation events, or will other contractual solutions to the construction risks be found?
This seminar explored the possibilities and harsh realities through a hypothetical project – Geoffrey Robertson style!
Industry experts represented the key roles of:
– Government Procuring Agency;
– Civil Works Contractor
– Technology supplier
– Project Financier
– Institutional Equity Investor
