Zahid Muradzada from Building Ontario Fund, joins our Canada Future Leaders Network Committee

We are pleased to welcome on board Zahid Muradzada, Head, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) from Building Ontario Fund as a new member of our Future Leaders Committee in Canada.

Bio:

Zahid has over 10 years of experience advising the Government of Ontario on large-scale infrastructure (including P3 projects) and public-sector investments across transportation, energy, housing, healthcare, and municipal assets. His work has focused on ensuring value-for-money through rigorous financial analysis, performance measurement, and risk assessment over the full asset lifecycle. Zahid hasĀ supported senior decision-makers by evaluating capital deployment strategies, governance frameworks, and long-term fiscal sustainability. Currently, he works at the intersection of finance, strategy, and public benefit quantification, helping align infrastructure investments with policy objectives, economic outcomes, and taxpayer value.

We asked Zahid a couple of questions to get to know him better:

IPFA: Finish this sentence: The future of infrastructure and energy is…

Zahid: …collaborative and resilient, connecting public institutions, private capital, and global practitioners through platforms like IPFA to mobilize investment, share knowledge, manage risk, and deliver sustainable growth and long-term public
value.

IPFA: What do you hope to bring to the Future Leaders Committee?

Zahid: I will bring a practical, collaborative perspective shaped by my experience working on real infrastructure investment challenges in the public sector. I enjoy connecting with people across institutions and sectors, and I’d like to help the Committee create programming and conversations that are useful for Future Leaders navigating today’s infrastructure and energy markets. I’m motivated to contribute ideas, help execute initiatives, and support stronger links between public institutions, investors, and advisors, while reinforcing IPFA’s role as a welcoming, relevant community for emerging professionals.
