Anna Ohanyan from Gowling WLG, joins our Canada Future Leaders Network Committee

We are pleased to welcome on board Anna Ohanyan, Associate at Gowling WLG as a new member of our Future Leaders Committee in Canada:

Bio: I am a lawyer at Gowling WLG focused on infrastructure, energy, and public procurement, advising both public sector procuring authorities and private bidders on complex transportation and social infrastructure projects, as well as energy, nuclear, and retrofit initiatives. I work across traditional P3 and progressive delivery models, with a practical understanding of how procurement is evolving in real time. I am particularly interested in the future of infrastructure as a more collaborative, innovative, and sustainable sector, and I am motivated to contribute to industry dialogue, strengthen cross sector connections, and help shape the next generation of infrastructure leadership.

Our North America Operations Manager, Carol Todd, recently caught up with Anna to get to know her better:

Carol: The future of infrastructure and energy is…

Anna: …increasingly central to how economies adapt and grow, shaped by a rapidly changing and sometimes uncertain global landscape,with a greater focus on resilience, evolving delivery approaches, and a broader mix of energy sources, including renewable and nuclear, and it will be up to the next generation of leaders to help guide that evolution in a way that is responsive, sustainable, and grounded in the realities of the world around us.

Carol: What do you hope to bring to the Canada Future Leaders Committee?

Anna: I hope to bring a practical, cross sector perspective shaped by working with both public and private participants across infrastructure and energy projects, and an understanding of how the industry is evolving in real time. I also bring a perspective shaped by my own path, as a young professional and first generation immigrant, which has influenced how I approach collaboration, problem solving, and change.

I am interested in contributing in a way that is thoughtful and engaged, supporting meaningful dialogue, strengthening connections across the Network, and helping ensure the Committee reflects a forward looking, inclusive, and pragmatic approach to the future of infrastructure.
