Your Data and IPFA’s Privacy Policy
By attending an IPFA activity, attendees acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to abide by these guidelines. IPFA reserves the right to amend or update these guidelines as necessary and without prior notice.
Please note that the details entered on the registration page will be used to create your individual account for ipfa.org (unless you have one already), where you can log in to manage the information that we hold for you. All personal data we collect is processed according to our Privacy Policy
By registering for this activity, you agree that IPFA can contact you regarding the activity, and about other events and news that may be relevant to you. You can unsubscribe from these communications anytime by clicking on the link in emails or contacting us directly. We value your privacy and assure your data will be kept confidential and will not be shared with third parties, with the exception noted in the paragraph below.
To attend this activity, you must agree to share your name, job title and organisation with the event host. If you do not wish to do so, then you must not register.
We may also list your name, job role and organisation on a delegate list to be distributed at the event and shared with other attendees. If you object to this, please contact us immediately at [email protected] with ‘Object to delegate list’ in the subject line.
Photography at Events
Photos will be taken at the event and shared on social media. If you do not wish to be included in any photos, please discuss this with the host staff at the registration desk.
Chatham House Rule
All IPFA activities are held under Chatham House Rule.
Attendance
IPFA activities are a welcoming space for all members. We encourage all backgrounds, ethnicities, genders and levels of seniority to join.
IPFA activities are free of charge for IPFA members (subject to your organisation’s membership category) and the public sector. If you are not a member and have any queries regarding IPFA membership, please email [email protected].

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
IPFA is committed to driving and supporting change with respect to diversity, equity and inclusion in the energy and infrastructure industries. As part of that commitment, we are striving for more visibility and representation of under-represented communities as speakers at our events, webinars and meetings.
Member Code of Conduct
1. Purpose
This policy ensures a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all attendees, speakers, staff, and partners at our events. This policy applies to all participants of events organised or hosted by IPFA; both in person and virtual.
2. Expected Conduct
All attendees must behave professionally and respectfully, refraining from harassment, discrimination, or disruptive behaviour.
3. Unacceptable Conduct
Improper conduct or behaviour includes, but is not limited to:

- Harassment (verbal, physical, or online).
- Discrimination or hate speech.
- Intimidation, bullying, or threats.
- Excessive intoxication leading to disruptive behavior or mean professional boundaries and behaviours cannot be maintained.
- Any conduct that negatively impacts the event experience for others.
Legal action may be considered if a criminal offence is suspected and, if appropriate, the matter may be reported to the Police or other relevant authorities.
4. Reporting and Response
If you experience any form of unacceptable conduct whilst participating in any IPFA event or activity, or if you are made aware that someone else may be affected by inappropriate behaviour, you should contact IPFA.

- Incidents should be reported to event staff (member host, IPFA team member or IPFA Trainer) or a Branch Council Member either at the event or by contacting [email protected].
- Reports will be handled confidentially and investigated promptly.
- IPFA will identify a main point of contact to manage and investigate the complaint.
- Consequences may include warnings, removal from the event, suspension of membership, or legal action if necessary.
Anyone who experiences harassment may also seek help from other relevant authorities, such as the police, or other legal or support services.
No one should knowingly make a false or misleading claim about prohibited conduct.
5. Enforcement
Event organisers and IPFA reserve the right to take appropriate action, including revoking their membership, denying entry or banning individuals from future events.
By attending, all members agree to adhere to this policy and uphold the standards of our community.
