Eman Mahmoud, an Egyptian national, is a Senior Underwriter at the African Trade and Investment Development Insurance (ATIDI), based at the headquarters in Nairobi, Kenya.
Eman brings more than 15 years of extensive experience in multilateral development finance, and commercial banking. Before joining ATIDI, she served as Country Manager at the Islamic Corporation for the Insurance of Investment and Export Credit (ICIEC), a member of the Islamic Development Bank Group. In this role, she specialized in identifying and appraising viable infrastructure and development projects, forging strategic partnerships, and structuring and negotiating complex, cross-border financial transactions.

Her career foundation began in Egypt as a Credit Analyst at Banque Misr, where she developed deep expertise in credit risk assessment, financial modeling, and portfolio management, later advancing to Corporate Relationship Manager overseeing complex transactions. Subsequently, at Credit Agricole Egypt, she served as Corporate Credit Analysis Manager, managing large and multinational corporate portfolios with a strong emphasis on project finance transactions.

Eman is a CFA Charterholder, a CAIA Level II candidate, and holds professional credit certification. She earned her Master’s in Finance from The Ohio State University (USA) and a Bachelor of Commerce from Cairo University (Egypt). She is fluent in English and Arabic.
