Julia Prescot

Global Chair, IPFA

Julia Prescot co-founded, in 2005, and was former Chief Strategy Officer of Meridiam, the global long term infrastructure fund. She serves as Deputy Chair of the UK’s National Infrastructure Commission, where she also serves as lead Commissioner for Diversity and Inclusion. She is a Director of the Fulcrum Infrastructure Group, Chair of Neuconnect Limited, and Deputy Chair of the Port of Tyne, as well as a Director of the FCDO’s WIlton Park. She sits on the board of the electric vehicle charging company, Allego B.V., based in Arnhem, Netherlands and sits on the investment committee of P Capital Partners, based in Stockholm. She was co-Chair of the Global Infrastructure Facility, based in Washington DC. She was also a director on the IPFA Board from 2011 to 2021, as well as previously holding a number of other non-executive roles.

Julia is an acknowledged infrastructure industry leader with a focus on growth and development of new and existing undertakings, nationally and internationally. She has over 30 years’ experience in developing, managing and promoting innovative and delivery focussed approaches to infrastructure and working across the private and public sector.
Invited to become a Visiting Professor at the Bartlett School at University College London in 2014, Julia then became an Honorary Professor in 2019. She was a member of the previous Government’s Investment Council from 2021-2024.

Julia brings her extensive executive and non-executive experience to organisations – prior to cofounding Meridiam she was a Senior Director at HBOS, Head of Infrastructure at Charterhouse Bank and Head of Project Finance at Hill Samuel Bank.

Julia was awarded a CBE for public service in the King’s Birthday Honours List in June 2024.
