Robert Desmond is head of Infrastructure Finance & Partnerships within the commercial operations division at Transport Infrastructure Ireland. He is a qualified solicitor with over 17 years’ experience, more recently as in-house counsel for TII prior to starting his current role in 2021. In his role he manages the legal and financial aspects of 15 operational PPP contracts to which TII is party as well as any new private finance investments on TII infrastructure. His prior legal experience includes working in a wide range of areas including banking and finance, commercial, and procurement law.
