In order to reach our climate targets, we must accelerate renewable expansion. Subsidies for renewable projects globally are declining rapidly and many European governments want to eliminate subsidies altogether. This leaves investors and developers looking for new ways of maintaining renewable expansion.
In this session, we will look at the key trends in the European renewables markets. The session will cover the role of declining construction costs, corporate PPAs and investor and developer attitude to merchant risk and how these fit into the evolving renewables business model.
