Alexandra Kah from Norton Rose Fulbright, joins our Australia Future Leaders Network

We are pleased to welcome on board Alexandra Kah, Associate from Norton Rose Fulbright as a new member of our Future Leaders Committee in Australia.

We recently caught up with Alexandra to ask her a few questions…
IPFA: If you could personally change or influence one thing within infrastructure and/or energy, what would it be?
Alexandra: If I could change one thing within infrastructure and energy, it would be strengthening the integration between long term infrastructure planning and the practical realities of the energy transition. Too often, these conversations happen in parallel rather than in partnership. I would advocate for more strategic, cross disciplinary collaboration that brings lawyers, engineers, policymakers, financiers, and communities into the same decision making loop from the outset.
IPFA: Knowing what you know now, what advice would you give to yourself at the start of your career?
Alexandra: If I could give my younger self one piece of advice, it would be to trust the value of slow burn learning and to lean into the relationships that shape a career far more than any single role or project ever will. At the start, it’s easy to fixate on technical skills or the fastest path upward, but the experiences that ultimately matter are the ones that stretch your ways of thinking, expose you to different perspectives, and teach you how to work with people, not just processes.
IPFA: What do you hope to bring to the FLN Committee?
Alexandra: I aim to bring a collaborative, forward thinking perspective to the Future Leaders Committee, shaped by my work as a construction lawyer in the renewable energy sector and my leadership experience on the Management Committees of Australia’s largest surf lifesaving club. I am passionate about strengthening professional growth through structured mentoring, meaningful networking opportunities, and accessible leadership pathways that genuinely connect with young professionals. My focus is on fostering inclusive, dynamic networks and supporting the Committee’s mission to engage, develop, and empower the next generation of industry leaders across Australia
