This Future Leaders group will explore how sustainability and energy transition priorities are being developed and implemented across North America and Europe. We will examine how national, subnational, and corporate actors are interpreting and responding to these priorities, and how regional approaches vary based on policy, regulatory frameworks, market conditions, and stakeholder expectations.

Group objectives

The purpose of this group is to examine how sustainability and energy transition priorities are being implemented across North America and Europe, focusing on how governments and companies are interpreting and responding to evolving frameworks.

A key focus will be understanding the sustainability practices of different regions, including environmental priorities such as decarbonization, circular economy approaches, and resource efficiency, as well as governance-related factors such as transparency, accountability, and reporting frameworks.

Key areas of interest also include regional differences in policy and regulatory approaches, market maturity, stakeholder expectations, and emerging disputes.
