Jeff Kartanegara from Alliander, joins our Netherlands Council

We are pleased to welcome on board Jeff Kartanegara, Program manager integrale energy system from Alliander as a new member of our Branch Council in the Netherlands.

If you could personally change or influence one thing within infrastructure and/or energy, what would it be?
Creating a faster and more coordinated pathway to unlock grid capacity. Congestion limits innovation, electrification and investment, and I believe we can accelerate solutions by combining regulation, technology and smart contracting models. Private financing can be the fuel catalyst in this process.
Knowing what you know now, what advice would you give to yourself at the start of your career?
Listen better, ask more questions and stay close to the people who execute the work every day. Nearly every breakthrough I’ve experienced came from understanding real-world constraints rather than slide-deck consultants’ logic.
What do you hope to bring to the Netherlands Council?
Perspective from the operational front line of the energy transition, especially around congestion, system integration and the changing role between public and private parties. And hopefully also a bridge between national developments and practical implementation, helping the Council identify themes with real impact.
