Lucy MacArthur from EY, joins our Branch Council in the UK

We are pleased to welcome on board Lucy MacArthur, Partner at EY, as a UK Branch Council Member:

Bio:

Lucy brings strong experience in the funding and financing of major UK infrastructure projects, including work on the Lower Thames Crossing and Heathrow’s third runway, alongside deep knowledge across the NPD and PFI lifecycle.

She is also a committed advocate for diversity and inclusion, actively championing initiatives within her organisation to support under represented voices in the sector.

We asked Lucy a couple of questions:

  • If you could personally change or influence one thing within infrastructure and/or energy, what would it be?

Lucy: I would streamline the planning process. Prolonged timescales and a lack of clarity make it difficult for the market to plan, invest, and mobilise with confidence. By simplifying planning and providing a clearer, more reliable pipeline of projects, the market can ensure they are aligned with the right skills, capacity, and funding. Greater certainty would support faster delivery and ensure the industry is genuinely prepared to deliver the infrastructure that is needed.
