Martin Angelov from Siemens, joins our Branch Council in the Asia

We are pleased to welcome on board Martin Angelov, Executive Director, Project & Structured Finance at Siemens, as a Asia Branch Council Member:

We asked Martin a couple of questions:

• If you could personally change or influence one thing within infrastructure and/or energy, what would it be?

Martin: If I need to pick one thing in the context of Asia, I would focus on finding a standardised regulatory / risk framework that can unlock and channel the massive amounts of available debt and equity capital into strategic projects that need it – and accelerate the speed of execution for these projects.

• Knowing what you know now, what advice would you give to yourself at the start of your career?

Martin: Pursue what excites you, but never stop building a diverse skillset and cross-functional knowledge. The more diverse your expertise, the more unique your perspective becomes in a rapidly changing market.

• What do you hope to bring to the Asia Council?

Martin: I aim to leverage my extensive regional network, built over more than two decades of living in Singapore, to further expand IPFA’s reach and foster strategic collaborations within the Council.
