We asked James a few questions to get to know him a bit better:

If you could personally change or influence one thing within infrastructure and/or energy, what would it be?

If I could personally change or influence one thing within infrastructure and/or energy, it would be harmonising the energy regulations across Southeast Asia to help create a pan-Southeast Asia energy grid which allows developers to build energy infrastructure in one jurisdiction and sell energy generated into wider markets within Southeast Asia.

Knowing what you know now, what advice would you give to yourself at the start of your career?

If I could go back in time and give myself advice at the start of my career, it would be take your time and enjoy the journey – it’s a long road! Life if full of surprises and opportunities and you have to seize upon them when they arise.

What do you hope to bring to the FLN Committee?

I hope to bring energy, enthusiasm, and new ideas to the FLN Committee and help to develop the network of professionals in the infrastructure and energy community within Singapore and Southeast Asia.
