New Ireland Future Leaders Network Committee Member from KPMG
We are pleased to welcome on board Younes Guessous from KPMG, as an Ireland Future Leaders Network Committee Member:
We recently caught up with Younes to get to know him a bit better:
Younes has extensive financial and commercial experience on the structuring, procurement and appraisal of infrastructure projects and major government services. Younes’s experience spans across Ireland and France, including EU-level programmes, and includes projects such as the Dublin Metro PPP, the next-generation Irish Coast Guard aviation service procurement, the Gare du Nord railway station PPP in Paris, and an EU-wide railway signalling programme. Prior to joining KPMG in Ireland, Younes was a PPP contract manager for a 2,700-km network of motorways in France. Younes holds an MSc in Engineering from Ecole des Ponts ParisTech (France), and an MSc in Project/Structured Finance from Paris Nanterre University (France).
IPFA: Finish the sentence. The future of infrastructure and energy is…
Younes: …leveraging AI for seamless and swift infrastructure delivery, while directing public-private and international efforts towards a more sustainable infrastructure. Decades-long public sector commitments are essential to achieving infrastructure benefits, with social benefits serving as the ‘north star’ for infrastructure project decision-making. To achieve the ambitious aims, balancing global supply chain interventions with domestic workforce upskilling is often critical in a number of geographies such as Ireland.
