New United States Council Member from S&P Global Ratings

We are pleased to welcome on board Dina Shaher, Director, S&P Global Ratings, as a United States Council Member:

Dina Shaher is a Director in the North American Infrastructure team at S&P Global Ratings in New York.  She has 25 years of experience in the infrastructure debt space both in the United States and internationally and in private and public sector settings.  Her experience includes thirteen years at a monoline bond guarantor, the majority of which was spent in the London office structuring and executing transactions under the UK Private Finance Initiative and similar financing models.

More recently she spent ten years at the US Department of Transportation, first in the TIFIA Credit Program Office, and then in the Build America Bureau following its inception.  Dina holds a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Architecture, both from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and an MBA from The University of Chicago Boothe School of Business.

  • Knowing what you know now, what advice would you give to yourself at the start of your career?

Be more adventurous, take chances, step outside your wheelhouse, and try things that may not seem intuitively obvious. Unexpected opportunities can often be the greatest sources of career achievements and highlights.
