New Belgium Future Leaders Network Committee Member from Belfius Bank NV

We are pleased to welcome on board Ines Dejaeghere, Advisor Real Estate & Project finance from Belfius Bank NV as a Belgium Future Leaders Network Committee Member:

After graduating as a civil engineer from Ghent University, Ines started her professional career in 2017 as a project manager for a construction firm (Class 8) that specialised in restoration. During this role she was responsible for project planning, budget control and client communication of various construction projects. After a few years of working in a position with both technical and financial aspects, she worked towards a more financial focused position and joined the Real Estate and Project Finance team at Belfius Bank NV in March 2022. Within the team, they provide debt financing for Real Estate, Infrastructure and Energy projects.

We asked Ines a few questions to get to know her a bit better:

The Future Leaders Network Committee is responsible for ensuring the strategic growth of the FLN in the region. How will your experiences contribute to this and what is your motivation for being a Future Leaders Network Committee Member?

• Being part of the Project Finance team of Belfius Bank NV, that is present in the Infrastructure and Energy market within Belgium, I have an overview of the market today and near future and can bring this forward. From my personal experience, I can also relate and bring some perspective to people that are new to the very specific Project Finance industry. Becoming a FLN Committee Member would give me an opportunity to further engage within the industry and be part of its further development. It would be motivating to be part of a team of diverse experts with a joint interest in Project Finance.

What opportunities do you see for the Future Leaders Network in your region?

• In Belgium, different opportunities can be found in approaching and bringing together members at different stages of their career, through informal and formal events and continuing to stimulate conversations between private and public sector members.

What do you hope to bring to this Future Leaders Network Committee?

• As a FLN Committee member, I hope I can bring valuable insight through my experience by engaging and progressing with the community.
