New Belgium Future Leaders Network Committee Member from BNP Paribas

We are pleased to welcome on board Jeremy Sluckin, Associate (Energy, Resources and Infrastructure) from BNP Paribas as a Belgium Future Leaders Network Committee Member:

Jeremy is an experienced banker with a track record of working internationally across Energy and Infrastructure sectors on both greenfield and brownfield projects. Throughout my (young) career, I developed skills in modelling, pitching and coordinating multiple stakeholders in project/leveraged finance transactions. More recently, I worked and developed knowledge on new topics such as. Carbon Capture and Storage and batteries.

We asked Jeremy a few questions to get to know him a bit better:

The Future Leaders Network Committee is responsible for ensuring the strategic growth of the FLN in the region. How will your experiences contribute to this and what is your motivation for being a Future Leaders Network Committee Member?

• For a couple months now, I have been looking to expand my network and meet mid-career professionals which are looking forward to shape the future of the infrastructure and energy finance industry. By becoming a FLN Committee member, I hope to broaden my general knowledge of these sectors, in a friendly and collaborative environment and by being part of the initiatives you organise, to be able to meet professionals from innovative companies.

What opportunities do you see for the Future Leaders Network in your region?

• Europe will need will need to invest heavily into its Energy Transition to achieve a higher level of independence and its objective towards net zero. A critical factor to attain these objectives will be communication between stakeholders. By bringing professionals together and organising events to share ideas and perspectives, the FLN could help in solving part of this and be recognised as a leading platform to address these challenges.

What do you hope to bring to this Future Leaders Network Committee?

• I believe that my positive and proactive attitude towards challenges is a key strength of mine. As part of the Future Leaders Committee I will ensure that I give my best for its development and growing recognition amongst professionals. Being able to work and produce quality documents under time pressure can also bring value when it comes to unforeseen changes in original tasks.
