Jack Stapleton from IAG, joins our Future Leaders Committee in Australia

We are pleased to welcome on board Jack Stapleton, Associate Director at IAG, as a Australia Future Leaders Network Committee Member:

  •  If you could personally change or influence one thing within infrastructure and/or energy, what would it be?

I would seek to broaden the understanding, across both industry and community, that infrastructure investment is not solely about physical assets. Rather, it is a platform to enable service delivery. Embedding this perspective throughout all project stages and stakeholders will lead to a more meaningful, sustainable and valuable outcomes for the community.

  •  Knowing what you know now, what advice would you give to yourself at the start of your career?

Be open to opportunities that fall outside of your defined ‘ideal career path’. Understanding and embracing this mindset has allowed me to discover and work across new sectors and provide cross-sector insights to deliver stronger project outcomes.

  •  What do you hope to bring to the FLN Committee? (We have this answer from your Application which is below):

Having had the privilege of working across a full range of project lifecycles, including within operational projects I have seen first-hand the services that are delivered and how the surrounding infrastructure directly impacts on those outcomes. I hope I can bring a fresh perspective to the committee, grounded in this experience, whilst continuing to advocate for the value of infrastructure investment. At the same time, I see this as an opportunity to lean and am committed to engaging with peers across the region, bringing an open and curious mindset that supports best practice and shared growth across the industry.
