Dear Member,

As we look ahead to 2026, I want to thank you for your continued support of IPFA and for being part of our vibrant global community. Your membership represents more than just being part of an association, it’s a collective effort to advance the infrastructure and energy sectors and make a lasting impact worldwide.

Together, we will explore how the energy transition, rapid digitalisation, and an evolving geopolitical landscape are reshaping investment priorities. Our 2026 programming will cover the breadth of infrastructure investment and emerging industry trends, focusing on:

  • Pacing Decarbonisation: Closing tech gaps; scaling renewables; energy security; policy shifts; delivering a just transition.
  • Investor Evolution: Evolving funding and financing models; higher risk appetite; rise of core plus and value-add infrastructure.
  • Digital Transformation: AI’s application to unlock value; shaping regulation; blending tech and infrastructure.
  • Redefining Infrastructure: A system approach to financing complex projects; connecting digital growth with water and energy demands; infra-real estate convergence.
  • Revitalising Partnership Models: Lessons learnt; re-emergence of social infrastructure; opportunities in defence; delivering the next generation of megaprojects.

     

In 2026, our internal focus will be on strengthening our core services, broadening our global influence, and adapting to the evolving needs of members at every stage of their careers. Members will benefit from enhanced IPFA platforms, including an upgraded Knowledge Hub with streamlined access, expanded Special Interest Groups, increased event locations and training opportunities, and a growing Future Leaders Network offering essential resources for career development.
