We are pleased to welcome on board Lopo de Castro Neto from Commerzbank as a new member of our Future Leaders Committee in North America.

Bio: Lopo de Castro Neto is a Vice President in the Green Infrastructure Finance division of Commerzbank in New York City. He is building a career at the intersection of Project Finance, Renewable Energy and Infrastructure Economics. He has expertise in originating, structuring, and executing transactions for infrastructure projects; particularly renewable energy projects, and has played a key role in expanding the bank’s US project finance exposure since joining. He has research and consulting experience in developing frameworks and case studies for infrastructure bankability and public-private partnerships. Lopo graduated from Johns Hopkins SAIS in 2021. Before that, he worked as a research analyst at the IMF, where he researched industrial policy and provided technical assistance to government officials.
Our North America Operations Manager, Carol Todd, recently caught up with Lopo to get to know him better:
Carol: Finish this sentence: The future of infrastructure and energy is…
Lopo: …abundant and green; only if we are able to meet the challenge of scaling green energy to meet rising demand.
Carol: What do you hope to bring to the FLN Committee?
Lopo: My cross regional background and professional/academic experience in PF and infrastructure economics.
