A Message from Daisy Brooker, CEO
Following the announcement at the Annual General Meeting on 5 May 2021, I am delighted to welcome Nick Chism as the new Chair for IPFA. He will succeed Geoff Haley who will now become Life President.
Geoff founded IPFA in 1998 and has been instrumental to the organisation’s growth and development for the last 23 years. On behalf of the Board and Secretariat, we would like to thank Geoff for his extraordinary contribution to the industry and to welcome Nick on board. Together with the team, I am very excited to work with Nick as IPFA evolves to respond to the growing needs of the industry.
In addition to Nick, we would also like to congratulate our new and returning Non-Executive Directors who were voted on to the Board. For the Board Results, please click here.
A message from Nick Chism, Chair
It is an honour to be appointed as Chair of IPFA. I want to salute Geoff Haley for having the vision to create a global multi-disciplinary platform for infrastructure professionals across the world.
We need that community more than ever. Infrastructure sits at the heart of the great environmental, economic and social challenges we all face. Resilience has come to the fore and we must adapt to a changed future. More than ever, the industry must embrace innovation. To do this, it must learn lessons and new skills at pace. And we must become more open and inclusive as new generations of talent move into leadership roles.
As the industry evolves, IPFA will engage more strongly than ever with new and existing members to explore new ideas and markets, build networks and support individuals throughout their careers. I am excited to be a part of this community and this discussion and I would like to thank you for voting me on as the new Chair.
